Breakfast Idea #3: Sunnyside Up

Prep Time: 5 mins
Serves: 1
What you will need:

  • 1 slice of your choice of bread, I am using whole grain white bread
  • 1 regular sized egg
  • 3 pinches of table salt
  • 3 pinches black pepper
  • a few leaves of cilantro
  • Cholula hot sauce

Before preparing your egg, pop your bread into the toaster so it can be nice and crispy when your egg is ready to devour.
Next you want to heat up your stove on medium and crack your egg onto a non-stick pan. Once the egg white goes from clear and runny to white semi-runny, add your salt and pepper on top. Wait until the yolk of your egg has a glassy layer on top, that is how you know if your egg is fully cooked. Tip: In a hurry? Cover your pan with a lid to speed up the cooking process.
While your waiting for the cooking process to finish, your bread should be toasted. Spread some butter on your bread for some creamy flavor.
When your egg is fully cooked, it will no longer have bubbles or blotches on the yellow surface.
Yum! Your sunny side up breakfast is ready to eat! Slide it onto your bread, top it off with some cilantro, serve it with your yummy hot sauce and enjoy!
Eat up!
